In the highly anticipated basketball playoffs for the Fall 2011 season, NARB remained unbeaten after dispatching runner-up Shepherd’s in a 66-58 final. Shepherd’s was unable to come up with an answer for NARB even after their close regular season battle which ended in a close 58-54 defeat.
#2 seed Shepherd’s (5-1) defeated #3 seed Team Maurice (4-2) in the 1/2 game semi-final 45-34 which earned them the rematch against #1 seed NARB (6-0).
NARB ended the year 7-0 and averaged 68 points per game which was 10 points higher then the next team in the league. James Hayes, NARB’s leading scorer ended the season averaging 21.6 points/game . They also lead the league in field goal percentage even though they took fewer shots then a lot of other teams. Quality of Quantity you could say was the key to their success. They also lead the league in 3pt percentage and rebounds.
NARB looks for back-to-back championships as they get set to play this Sunday in the Winter 2012 league. Good luck to all teams and thanks for playing!
