Posted on October 20, 2016 by Lindsey Williams in Twin Cities Kickball

Tournament Bracket
We’ll be kicking and screaming at Rice & Arlington fields in St Paul. We’re expecting some amazing fall weather to compete in for the quest for Douglas – the MUSA Twin Cities Championship Trophy.

  • Games start at 8AM (Yowzah!!) so be prompt. Games will be cut short if they start late.
  • Games will be 7 innings until the final four when games will be 9 innings.

Pool Play!
The bracket has the pools listed. Each team has a corresponding number and the numbers are listed with playing times.
The top two teams from each pool will move on to the bracket elimination round. The winner of each pool will gain top seed, the second place team will have the second seed. This is noted on the brackets as A1, A2, B1, B2 and so forth.
Tie games are permitted in the pool play portion and games will not go into extra innings until the bracket starts.
Tie breakers for seeding are as follows: Wins – Ties – Runs Against – Shutouts – Rock/Paper/Scissors

Fill out the bracket with your predictions (bracket portion only) and get them to the clubhouse by Field #3 by 8AM Saturday for your chance to win some cash! Email to musakickballmn@gmail.com or drop them off at the clubhouse on Saturday.

Once the dust settles, it’s time to party!

End of Season – Fall 2016

Selection Show
Insight Brewing
Wednesday, October 19 at 7:30PM

Wanna see how it’s going to shake down? Join us for the End of Season (EOS) Tournament Selection Show at Insight Brewing and find out where your team’s spot in the bracket for Saturday’s tournament!

How does it work? Pick a ping pong ball to determine your team’s spot in the tournament! Selection order will be based on regular season record- but pulling ping-pong balls out of a hat isn’t based on records, it’s based on luck. If your team does not have a representative at the event, a league official will select on your behalf.

End of Season (EOS) Tournament
Rice and Arlington Fields
Saturday, October 22 from 8AM to 5PM

The tournament is open and free to all MUSA teams – so let the kicking and screaming begin!
This year we are introducing Pool Play so every team will be guaranteed two games.

Top two teams per pool will advance to the bracket round, where it will become single elimination. Winners of each pool will be top seeds, second place will have secondary seed. Ties are allowed in the pool play portion and games will not go into extra innings until bracket rounds. Pool winners are determined in order of: Wins, Ties, Runs Against, Shutouts, and if needed, Rock Paper Scissors.

Games will start around 8AM.  Games will be 7 innings with a 45-minute time limit, semi-final games will be 9 innings.
All players are limited to playing on two teams during the tournament.

Email Tyler at musakickballmn@gmail.com with questions.
