Cities
The best way to begin is by learning about the website. Start at the top of this page with row of city names among other links that are pretty standard on most sites. All you need to do is hover-over the city you are located in and it will call up another menu filled with links of where to go to next.
Sports
Some cities offer more sports other than others so you can easily click on the sport you wish to get more info about. The main sport page will be filled with blog posts about that specific sport you chose and any announcements such as weather status or telling you that registration is open.
Registration/Enrollment
Enrollment for obvious reasons is open at different times of the year depending on the sport and in what city you are in. We try to have enrollment open a month before league play begins to give teams enough time to assemble and get the registration fee. The calendar page will have dates marked for these events once the league has the information.
Payment & Deadline
If you’re enrolling a team for an upcoming season it’s as easy as filling out the form and paying the enrollment fee. Some teams get sponsors and some pay out of pocket so that’s entirely up to you and your team as long as the balance of the enrollment fee is paid by or on the deadline. This will ensure you a spot in our league if that division hasn’t been filled yet. Some divisions and leagues are more popular than others so getting your enrollment form and payment in as soon as you can will help lock-in your spot for the season.
The Form
The enrollment form is where you find out what evenings, locations and skill levels are available for the sport you are enrolling in. Some sports have a range of skill levels so please be sure to check out our FAQ page to read about the different types and what they mean.
Once the league office reviews your enrollment form and receives payment, you will be placed into a division according to your selections. Once the deadline has past you will then receive and email from either the Director of Operations or a Field Monitor welcoming you to the division.
Locations
To learn where all these crazy activities are played, at anytime you can click on the Locations link for your city. This takes you to our google map page and on the left side you can see the different venues we use. A simple click takes you to the location on the map.
League Play
Rules
All of our sports have some sort of rules to play by so it’s always a good idea to have you and your teammates read them over before suiting up on game day. This might avoid some confusion when playing a sport you may haven’t played since middle school or maybe coming from another organization.
If you look at the menu above and hover-over your city you’ll be able to choose which rules to read for each sport.
Schedules
Schedules should be posted or emailed to captains a week prior to the first game when at all possible. Sometimes in order to fill up or add another team after the deadline, the schedule might be revised. If that is the case, captains will be notified and the new schedule will be posted online.
Standings
For all of our sports, we keep track of some kind of standings and they can be accessed anytime during the season and even long after the season has finished thanks to our friends at Bracketpal. They have developed our “Data” part of the site and you’ll be using that section quite a bit. Some leagues will have End-of-Season (EOS) Tournaments for those teams that qualify or maybe other mid-season tournaments to keep things fresh.
Contact Us
Since all of our leagues are run by different people, there are many ways to connect with us. Head to our Contact Us page to see the best way to contact the representative for your city.
Thanks everyone and we hope you enjoy what MUSA has to offer and that we see you back season after season!
