EOS Fall 2018 – The Hunt for Douglas…

The End of Season Tournament is this Saturday!
We’ll be kicking and screaming at Rice & Arlington Fields (1500 Rice St. Saint Paul, MN 55117) – bring your coolers, hang out, and compete to take home the MUSA Twin Cities Championship Trophy (Douglas).

  • The first games will start at 8:45am.  Please be prompt. Games will be cut short if they start late.
  • Games will be 7 innings until the final four (time permitting) when it switches to 9 innings.
  • All players are limited to playing on 2 teams during the tournament.

We could use your help…
We will need umps on Saturday. Email me at musakickballmn@gmail.com  with your availability. I need to know what team(s) you are playing on. If you ump for us, we’ll buy you lunch!

Wanna win some cash? Think you know how things will shake out? Fill out the bracket with your predictions and get them to MUSA Headquarters by 8:45AM Saturday for your chance to win cash prizes! This is free money for you to take! (email to musakickballmn@gmail.com or drop them off at the registration desk in the clubhouse by Field #3 on Saturday).

Once the dust settles, it’s time to party!
Saturday at 8:00PM – Broken Clock Brewing Co-op! (3134 California St. NE Minneapolis, 55418). Andrew Lunzer, David Sroka, and Brigid Cisek have been working around the broken clock (intentional bad pun) to make sure the brewery is ready for us to party! Don’t let their efforts go in vain! The food truck Big Red Wagon will be there.
The after party is always an open invite event. Have cool friends who don’t play kickball? Bring ’em. Please remember to get home responsibly.

The end of the Spring 2017 season is here and that means…it’s tournament time!

SELECTION SHOW – Wednesday, June 21st @ 8 PM
Join us at Insight Brewing (2821 E. Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis 55413) for the EOS Selection Show. Pick a ping pong ball to determine your team’s spot in the tournament bracket! Selection order will be based on regular season record- but pulling ping-pong balls out of a hat isn’t based on records, its base on luck. If your team does not have a representative on hand, a league official will select on your behalf. Drawing starts at 8:30.

EOS TOURNAMENT – Saturday, June 24th
It’s a full day of kicking and screaming at Rice & Arlington Fields in St Paul (1500 Rice St. Saint Paul, MN 55117). The tournament is open (and free) to all MUSA Teams. Bring your coolers and grills to hang out and play ball.
Games will be 7 innings until the final four when games will be 9 innings.

All players are limited to playing on 2 teams during the tournament.

Come and celebrate the season with us at Playoffs Sports Lounge (2501 University Ave. SE, Minneapolis 55414). $15 at the door gets you tap beer and pizza from 8pm to 11pm.

The End of Season (EOS) Tournament is this Saturday

Tournament Bracket
We’ll be kicking and screaming at Rice & Arlington fields in St Paul. We’re expecting some amazing fall weather to compete in for the quest for Douglas – the MUSA Twin Cities Championship Trophy.

  • Games start at 8AM (Yowzah!!) so be prompt. Games will be cut short if they start late.
  • Games will be 7 innings until the final four when games will be 9 innings.

Pool Play!
The bracket has the pools listed. Each team has a corresponding number and the numbers are listed with playing times.
The top two teams from each pool will move on to the bracket elimination round. The winner of each pool will gain top seed, the second place team will have the second seed. This is noted on the brackets as A1, A2, B1, B2 and so forth.
Tie games are permitted in the pool play portion and games will not go into extra innings until the bracket starts.
Tie breakers for seeding are as follows: Wins – Ties – Runs Against – Shutouts – Rock/Paper/Scissors

The MUSA app has the fields and the game times listed on the Message Board portion of the app. Scores will be reported here by the Field Monitors so you can check the results of the day from all the fields!

Wanna see how it’s going to shake down? Join us for the End of Season (EOS) Tournament Selection Show at Insight Brewing and find out where your team’s spot in the bracket for Saturday’s tournament!

How does it work? Pick a ping pong ball to determine your team’s spot in the tournament! Selection order will be based on regular season record- but pulling ping-pong balls out of a hat isn’t based on records, it’s based on luck. If your team does not have a representative at the event, a league official will select on your behalf.

 

End of Season (EOS) Tournament 
Rice and Arlington Fields
Saturday, October 22 from 8AM to 5PM

The tournament is open and free to all MUSA teams – so let the kicking and screaming begin!
This year we are introducing Pool Play so every team will be guaranteed two games.

Top two teams per pool will advance to the bracket round, where it will become single elimination. Winners of each pool will be top seeds, second place will have secondary seed. Ties are allowed in the pool play portion and games will not go into extra innings until bracket rounds. Pool winners are determined in order of: Wins, Ties, Runs Against, Shutouts, and if needed, Rock Paper Scissors.

Games will start around 8AM.  Games will be 7 innings with a 45-minute time limit, semi-final games will be 9 innings.
All players are limited to playing on two teams during the tournament.

The MUSA Minnesota End Of Season Tournament

EOS Tournament – Saturday, June 25th

All MUSA Minnesota teams are invited and encouraged to participate. Participating teams must email their confirmation bid to musakickballmn@gmail.com no later than Friday, June 17th.

Tournament starts around 9:00 AM (depending on number of teams participating). Games will be 7 innings until the final four when games will be 9 innings.

All players are limited to playing on 2 teams during the tournament.

After the tournament, the party starts at 8:00PM. Wristbands ($15) get you pizza and beer until the keg runs dry.

Premium Draft Kickball Registration will open on May 31st
What’s Premium Draft Kickball?
It’s just a more competitive version of the original! INDIVIDUAL SIGN UP – A REAL DRAFT – OPEN PITCHING – 9 FIELDERS – FULL STATS – LOTS OF AFTER GAME FUN – AND A TOTALLY SWEET JERSEY

  • Premium Draft Kickball will be Tuesday nights at Rice & Arlington Fields in St. Paul
  • Registration Deadline: June 26th
  • The combine will be June 28th
  • Premium Season begins July 5th and runs through August 9th

 

 Spring End of Season Tournament

The 2016 Spring End of Season Tournament will be Saturday, June 25th at Rice and Arlington Fields in St. Paul. All spring session teams are welcome to play in the tournament.
